Gymnasium Equipment Company was "founded" by Ralph E. "Chick" Ciccarelli in September of 2002. Since then the company has grown from four salesmen in Ohio to over 25 sales associates and 10 installation/fabrication crews operating in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia & North Carolina.
Our company is a "Full Service" company selling, installing and servicing scoreboards by Daktronics, bleachers by National Recreation Systems, lockers by General Storage Systems, Lyon & Penco, basketball/volleyball systems by AAI/BPI, GARED, BISON and DRAPER, weight equipment by Prostar, outdoor L.E.D. systems by Daktronics, scoring tables and logo chairs by Vision Industries, and more.
We have exclusive dealership status with some of the above, and also have dealership status with 75 additional athletic equipment manufacturers. Our athletic equipment manufacturers are industry leaders nationwide.
Our full-time sales associates are given exclusive territories of their home county plus several surrounding counties, in which they make "premise" sales calls with their customers. We call on every college, school (K-12), YMCA, city recreation department, youth league, church, health club & jail/prison in our territory. Our part-time sales associates are not given exlusive territory, but may sell anywhere.
We participate as exhibitors at numerous athletic & school administration conferences each year, as well as have annual mailings of our catalogs/brochures to potential customers in all areas of our territory.
