Sales Associate

Profile: GEC is a “full service” athletic equipment company – meaning sales, installation and service. We have sales professionals covering the states of OHIO, W,VA, MICHIGAN, INDIANA, KENTUCKY,
PENNSYLVANIA, VIRGINIA , NORTH CAROLINA AND MARYLAND.  Our full-time sales associates have exclusive territories near their home and surrounding counties.  We are interested in hiring additional full-time and also part-time sales associates.

Position: Sales associates will call on schools (K-12), colleges, churches, YMCAs, fire departments and city rec. departments selling:  scoreboards and electronic message displays – complete gymnasium renovation –divider curtains – bleachers – lockers – soccer goals – AEDs – rubber flooring – weight equipment – logo chairs – scorer’s tables – trophy cases and more.

There will be one day of classroom training and a couple days on-the-job training in the field. Each sales associate will receive 40% commission on the profit of each and every sale, with the opportunity to increase the commission up to 50%.  In addition, we also have quarterly sales contests where up to 10%  bonuses are awarded.

We are looking for confident people who enjoy and understand athletics, people with sales abilities who know where the schools/colleges are in ther home area, and someone with great people/communication skills.  The sales associates we select must have a home computer, dedicated fax line & cell phone.  This position with our company will be as an independent sales contractor.  There is no salary, draw, expenses or benefits, this is strictly a commssion-only position.

Very Important: New sales associates may go as long as several months without any commissions. Once sales are made and invoices are paid, you will receive commissions after each sale.  Do not apply for this position if you need a regular salary and could not go several months without any commission.
